Love this interesting deep dive about the swing from whole word to phonics.

As for books about books, we’re in a big Lola and Leo (Anna McQuinn) phase this summer, and Lola Reads to Leo is a sweet getting-a-new-baby book that also models reading throughout the daily routine and for many purposes.

Ahhhh Lola and Leo, that sweet and very British (in my memory from the tv series at least) duo. I’ll have to check out the reading to one another one! That’s just started to happen around here and anything I can use to encourage peaceful and quiet activities is useful for us! Thanks for the recommendation and for reading

The Franklin the Dragon series is great! I've gifted Franklin's Flying Bookshop several times.

Aren’t they so sweet? I love finding a book I love to gift because I’m always that auntie who gets the kid a book. 🤣
