Oh fun! I will have to see if I can find it at the library!! I just googled the title (by Jill Murphy! yes?) and it looks like a true gem!! Plus, put me in that tub STAT!
My diamond and rock were a package deal this week! The diamond was seeing my 4 and 1 year old really playing together for the first time. There were lots of giggles and back & forth play, Yay! While I was imagining all the fun these boys are going to have, the rock hit me in the face (not literally!) This lovely moment was quickly followed by said 4 year old screaming "DON"T TOUCH MY HOTWHEELS over and over in the 1 year old's face, resulting in big tears all round!
Ooof! The roller coaster ride of raising small children is SO REAL. You were lulled into daydreaming the magic! Here is to hoping the Hot Wheels soon are a source of shared joy. xo
Leave Me Alone reminds me of a book I used to love called Five Minutes Peace in, which a mother elephant desperately seeks some time for herself.

Yes, that’s the one. I don’t have little ones any more (mine are grown) but I still remember not being able to go to the bathroom by myself.
😂 ::written from the bathroom where they miraculously haven’t found me yet because they are unsupervised with markers:: 😱
My brother says Leave Me Alone is a book about me... and he's not entirely wrong 😂
Awesome list, Alexis!
Haha! I mean, don’t we all just want to escape to the void to get some knitting done?!
Thank you! I am immensely flattered! 🤩🤩
Tbh, sometimes I want to escape to the void to do literally anything other than being with people...
Ha! So relatable! Time to put “Sensory deprivation tank” on the old Christmas List. 😝
*adding right now*
