Such an exciting time and really a big milestone when a first (and second and third) child goes “out in the world”
to Kindergarten. I was surprised and felt quite old when I was told that Kindergarten is no longer a half day! What?! When did that happen? It will be an adjustment for all whether it’s a half day or a full day but I am confident all will go well. Remember to take those “1st day of school” pics! Starting at Kindergarten and going all the way to High School. Such a treasure to have - even if they are in a box I still have yet to find! 😝
I love the focus on P’s! And sending you hugs, I’ve found we focus a lot on transitions with kids but we’re humans too and even though we know it’s normal, transitions aren’t easy. Love the picture books you’ve showcased too!
Starting kindergarten is 100% a big deal. My children and I spent five days a week apart for 8+ hours a day since they were each three months old, and it was still a big deal. It's okay to feel all the things you're feeling.
Totally! I didn’t mean to make it a SAHM vs working parent thing and probably should have been more deliberate in my word choices. Kindergarten is a big deal for everyone!! And we mostly all get thru it, which I think was my intended point. And it’s also so privileged of me to complain about public free education. Sooooo. All the things!!
Oh, I didn't take it that way at all -- that was just my way of saying, even if you're used to being apart from your kids and vice versa, starting K is one of those deeply bittersweet transitions, and you're not alone.

A treasure for someone to find eventually I am sure!

Transitions are never easy!! Frozen peas are the easiest. It’s all about balance 😜

💕 transitions are always hard!!! Thanks for the kindness and support
My kid likes frozen peas on her ice cream and yogurt? Weird, but I’ll take it as a win!
Ooooo a real culinary connoisseur! I love it! Not in my mouth, but in her spirit!
