Patiently waiting for Beartown & North Woods on Libby! Looking forward to seeing your vacation reads!
Two of my pics for an Airbnb shelf are The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt and One Day by David Nicholls. Both to me are perfect vacation reads!
Have a great time with your family! Also, would you say the plot twist in Summer Darlings served a purpose? I love a good plot twist but only if it serves a purpose but based on your review it doesn’t seem like it?
Oooo such an excellent question! It was such a surprise that it distracted me from thinking critically about it, but I don’t think it ruined the book by any means, it was just such a surprise. I think it was a fun twist! I’d still say this book is a good summer read.
Try just telling the PNW library that you are visiting from out of town but would like to check out some books -- some libraries allow this, some allow this if you show your library card from your regular library (even if it's on the entire other side of the country). Worst case, the answer is no, but they may have solutions you're not even aware of!
Excellent idea! When I was a traveling nanny we used to do this allllll the time! It was so fun to see how library programs were different in all the different cities we were in.
High praise for North Woods! Sounds fascinating. Thanks for the rec!
It really is so good! Odd, but wonderful
Yay for the PNW! I hope you can a great visit up here! No sweatshirts today, but it's supposed to rain all weekend...
Would it even be the PNW without rain?!

I’ve never read The City of Fallen Angels! I’ll see if it’s at this library

Perfect, thanks! Adding it to my list 😊

Recently heard of a woman who gets a library card in every town she visits and I didn't even know that was allowed?? Anyway, happy PNW summer. xo
